The Laguna Phuket Triathlon is a major qualifying event for the 2007 Iron Man Australia. The 13th annual Laguna Phuket Triathlon was held in December 2005 at the upscale Laguna Phuket with a record-breaking field of 700 athletes. Besides the great athleticism and competitiveness of the athletes, the marathon showcases the amazing progress that has been made since the 2004 tsunami hit Thailand.
